The premiere party for FOX Searchlight’s The Favourite at Baltaire in Brentwood seamlessly blended 18th-century elegance with bold, modern punk elements, echoing the film’s themes of power and betrayal. The venue featured wall signage moments with “spray-painted” quotes on tapestries and furniture, adding a rebellious, edgy flair to the luxurious atmosphere. The event was further enhanced by thematically styled lounges, with big damask-bustled linens both inside and out, and thematic props accenting the upper level credenzas.
Guests were greeted by rabbits and pheasants at the exterior entrance, adding whimsical surprise and a nod to the film. The culinary offerings included paradoxical stations, such as the extravagant Viennese dessert spread – overflowing with grandeur, oversized platters, and pheasants, creating a comedic abundance. Thematic props and accents also defined the large exterior round station and interior long station, while the first private room housed a grand Viennese station. A central square DJ booth on the upper level became a visual focal point, with the DJ dressed as though he had stepped straight out of the film, enhancing the immersive atmosphere. The night was further elevated by four thematic bar corners, cleared back bar shelves, and a photo booth room styled with custom draping and accents, blending opulence with punk-inspired rebellion.
