'THE FAVOURITE' FYC EVENT

Held at NeueHouse, the FYC event for The Favourite expertly blended modern design with 18th-century influences. The black and white color palette symbolized power and duality, representing the film’s central struggle between Sarah Churchill (Rachel Weisz) and Abigail Masham (Emma Stone) as they vie for Queen Anne’s (Olivia Colman) favor. The décor featured a modern core with a layering of 18th-century elements, reflected in the shapes and macro styling, creating an edgy yet sophisticated atmosphere. Modern fabric choices and custom costume displays, layered with 18th-century shapes and styling, enhanced the film’s visual grandeur. Luxe lounge vignettes and vintage-inspired bars reflected the power struggles and shifting alliances between the characters. Giant graphics featuring iconic quotes from the movie were placed behind each lounge vignette, with their placement mirroring key emotional or power-shifting moments in the film. The DJ, in drag and styled in a costume and makeup inspired by the film, subtly incorporated historical music, while signature cocktails and an indulgent spread of hors d’oeuvres and desserts rounded out the immersive experience. The night culminated in a Q&A with the film’s director and cast, celebrating the anachronistic fusion of past and punk influences.
