For the New York City premiere of The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Kristin Banta Events transformed the PHD Rooftop Lounge at Dream Hotel Downtown into a dazzling homage to the film’s bold aesthetic and larger-than-life subject. Inspired by the glamour and excess of the 1970s and 80s, the space was layered with era-defining details and playful nods to Tammy Faye’s iconic legacy.

Giant disco ball installations were placed throughout the space, creating a striking visual moment and reflecting shimmering light across the room. Retro blue corded telephones, vintage televisions, and gold sequin linens set the stage for a night of nostalgia and spectacle, while feathers, fur coats, and rainbow-inspired décor paid tribute to Tammy Faye’s signature style and her unwavering support for the LGBTQ+ community. A striking LED screen behind the DJ stand featured a mesmerizing set of eyes – one blinking – an homage to ‘The Eyes’. Guests sipped Diet Coke straight from the can with a straw, a signature Tammy Faye touch, while exploring makeup stands, jewelry displays, and lush pink roses woven throughout the space. Every detail was designed to immerse guests in the world of the film while celebrating the life and legacy of an unforgettable woman.
