Featuring three uniquely different chapters, this spirited wedding celebrated the interests, passions, and personalities of the couple. Reflective of the bride’s whimsical side and in memory of her late grandmother, the ceremony area featured an installation of over two thousand monarch butterflies – climbing up Ojai’s iconic Friendship Tree, perched atop seats, and flying towards an outcropping of sunflowers, where the couple stated their vows. Cocktail hour nodded to the newlywed’s love of country western music and the outdoors. Embedded in the styling of each area within the space were eclectic details including a wall of fishing tackles displaying guests’ table assignments, Nashville-inspired lounge vignettes and bars, neon signs and tray passed beer – the groom’s drink of choice. The final chapter, the reception, featured a ballroom transformation inspired by the bride’s elegant and luxe side featuring a palette of emerald, gold and white. A dramatic triple length malachite bar served as the focal point as guests entered the room. To bring everything full circle, white butterflies were placed in a small glass and gold box on each table, housing the table number.
