Fearless Originality – Celebrating the couple’s individuality, this wedding dispensed with flowers and candles, opting instead for art installation-styled decor that juxtaposed positive and negative space with black and white and a unique presentation of indigo. The ceremony aisle was peppered with bright indigo-knotted wood that led to a mass of Edison bulbs at the altar. One long acrylic dining table showcased hi-gloss black antlers as centerpieces under a gradiation of bare bulbs, and the reception space featured an elaborate art installation of five thousand paper indigo cranes hanging overhead. Tray-passed dessert bites were served followed by a seated breakfast instead of dinner—the couple’s favorite meal. Following the ceremony recessional accompanied by a live Green Day video, the couple had their first dance to Damien Rice’s, “Eskimo,” accompanied by an opera singer.
