From Runway To Altar – This chic wedding at the historic LA Alexandria Ballrooms revealed four unique spaces inspired by the couple’s history and love of travel. Gold and black decor was displayed throughout with 500 yards of black velvet fabric trailing through four entrance rooms, lining the ballroom and leading to a ceremony chuppah. A dramatic runway-style processional followed for a bridal party decked in couture formal wear. Cocktail hour featured a full bar, custom drinks, and a spectacular installation of fifty glass bowls, each containing a single black goldfish. Dinner was served in the Palm Court Ballroom and boasted a theatrical 360-degree digital display of exotic travel images from the couple’s collection accompanied by thematic music and cuisine, and tabletops comprised of 1100 feet of gold-dipped nautical rope. After dinner, guests then traveled to the Mezzanine – transformed into a sleek club lounge – and was greeted with tray-passed custom shots and an art installation featuring 100 black paper airplanes dipped in gold and hanging in a flight pattern overhead. A lively Latin band played from a black high-gloss stage, adjacent a backdrop with gold “love” graffiti. A male/female DJ duo alternated with the band, spinning in a custom black acrylic DJ booth. Throughout the night, guests hit the dance floor, relaxed in chic lounges, snacked on Latin-inspired treats, or visited a custom bar featuring gold dipped collectibles.
