We were delighted to hear that so many of you enjoyed Tia & Aaron’s European residential wedding featured on Snippet & Ink this week and wanted to see more! We adore this beautiful couple and were inspired to design their wedding at Jonathan Beach Club based on their unique and delightful personalities and interests.
Gathering inspiration from late 70’s Vogue, the French Riviera, the design embodied a balance of masculine and feminine with a glam spin in warm neutrals (blush, cream, champagne and vanilla) mixed with metallics (gold, bronze, copper). Guests walked out to the sand deck to take their seats amongst French bistro style chairs on the sand as a string trio played contemporary arrangements. Tia and Aaron married under a tailored natural tweed chuppah, draped at the four corners with rich cappuccino dupioni and woven braid tie backs, the aisle entrance adorned with tall floral arrangements in shapely vases.
Following the ceremony, guests were invited into the cocktail area, a canopied deck featuring a custom bar with a natural linen front and wooden top along with a back bar unit crafted from warm wooden shelving and a rose fabric backing housing florals and candles. Cocktail tables were adorned with cream-colored linens and petite florals flanked by daybeds in fitted linen slipcovers, accented with bronze and blush pillows and large trays with simple floral accents.
Guests’ table assignments were posted on a curtain of large capiz-shell tiles against a delicate blush drape for guests to peruse all while being offered a decadent selection of tray passed hors d’oeuvres and specialty cocktails to the sounds of a lively string trio.
Guests were welcomed into the ballroom where they entered a scene that was completely transformed into a warm, intimate, residentially inspired space. Square and round tables were draped in herringbone sequin and vanilla luxe linens, placed with mahogany wrought iron chairs with luxe cushions, all surrounding a rose metallic dance floor.
A wood fronted stage offered up a lively band, with a back drop of light rose drapes which appear throughout the room behind the dessert area, bar and lounge, adding texture, softness and decadence to the room.
Along the far wall, a long table was set with a long chocolate-leather Chesterfield-style banquette sofa along the wall, behind which were sofa tables embellished with thematic accessories.
All tables were set with gold table numbers and lush tablescapes featuring shapely vases, candlelight and florals with luxe napkins and custom menus atop smoky taupe chargers at each placesetting. An inviting divan lounge vignette was set by the fireplace and decorated with candlelight and decor allowing guests to drink by the fire while watching the band.
Another cozy vignette was set adjacent from the custom bar offering a linen front and wood top and bar back comprised of a series of bronze tower units styled with library inspired accessories, florals and candlelight. Guests were treated to a delicious three-course meal before having the opportunity to visit the dessert area, a beautiful wood shelving unit stacks with desserts of all types, thoughtfully arranged on various platters, stands and footed pedestals.
