Congratulations to Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri on their incredible success this award’s season, taking home 4 Golden Globes and 3 Screen Actors Guild Awards and as of this morning, a recipient of 7 Oscar noms.
We had the incredible opportunity to team up with Fox Searchlight to produce the Los Angeles premiere along with red carpet arrivals and the afterparty held at Neuehouse and have been cheering on this incredible film ever since.
Red carpet arrivals were hosted in the exterior courtyard of NeueHouse and featured a recreation of the film’s billboard along with a “grass” treatment of the traditional red carpet.
Before taking their seats for the screening, attendees were offered beer and popcorn from flannel clad servers.
As soon as guests entered the party, they were transported from Hollywood straight into Ebbing, Missouri. Ebbing, a fictional town, has all of the charm and quirk of small town America which we incorporated via the “Town Pump Tavern”, the “Hometown Grill” and the “Southern Charms” gift shop.
As the DJ spun an eclectic set featuring everything from Johnny Cash to Amy Annelle, guests entered the rooftop party and were greeted by a taxidermy deer surrounded by lanterns, firewood and potted wildflowers, a nod to a scene in the film featuring Frances McDormand’s character Mildred tending to the flowers under one of her billboards when she is approached by a wild deer.
In between visits to the “Home Town Grill” for a little barbecue to order, guests were invited to play a round of darts at the local “Town Pump Tavern” where a brick wall was set up with neon tavern signs and interactive magnetized dart boards. All night long guests could grab thematic drinks at a central bar created to look like the “Southern Charms” gift shop where Mildred worked. Wrapped in vintage floral “wallpaper” and topped with reclaimed wood, the back bar featured wooden shelves lined retail-style with Missouri chiatchkis including teddy bears, coffee mugs and gift bags.
As guests mingled, servers outfitted in denim aprons and flannel shirts tray passed thematic bites, all reminiscent of moments from the film including “cheesy things”, “fried pickles”, “Rice Krispies Treats”, and “Frosted Flake Parfaits.” Waiters passed beer along with two signature cocktails – the “Molotov Cocktail” and the “Missouri Mule” both inspired by the film.Cocktail tables incorporated turtles, a whimsical shout out to the family pet of Sam Rockwell’s character, Officer Dixon and Mildred’s signature red gerber daisies.
As one of the event’ star features, the entire surface of the building’s exterior glowed with moving flames, reflective of the police station fire in the film. The flames were executed via large scale video projection mapping. We were honored to work with with FOX Searchlight on this premiere and delighted in the opportunity to incorporate multiple nods from this incredible film into the event. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is in theaters now and if you haven’t seen it, do not miss it! We will be cheering it on March 4th for the 2018 Academy Awards!
