So originally when Softsoap® approached me about its new customizable bottles, I couldn’t quite envision the application and then a world of entertaining possibilities for events presented itself to me.
Sure, you could simply create a bunch of soap bottles with your mug proudly displayed on each as a gentle reminder for your guests to wash their hands, your judging face being the last thing they see before they exit the restroom or reach for a sandwich … you could also use this awesome new customizable feature to have some serious fun.
Knowing that now more than ever, all great parties are those offering customized experiences and special details unique to the host, here are several categories which I deemed to be the most important to assist you and to guide your imaginative creations:
Number One: Shaming.
What better way to use your personalized Softsoap® than to shame your guests into washing their hands?
“Hey, seriously wash your hands ya filthy beast.”
Below we used Derek & Stef’s wedding reception color palette of black, charcoal and violet, further incorporating the damask pattern in their linens, and paired it with a picture of the couple themselves scarfing down on some burgers, accompanied by a gentle reminder for guests to cleanse their mitts before proceeding. Because eating with dirty hands is gross….thus Shaming.
Number Two: Pairing.
For the more traditional user, create a cohesive design reflective of your bathroom or kitchen colors, your wallpaper design or your floor tile. Why? Because ya can.
For this one, we went the extra mile and tossed in the family pet to be a part of this inspired bathroom design as we didn’t think we needed to be too serious…and French bulldogs are, after all, fairly entertaining.
Number Three: Theming.
I don’t think that’s a thing but just go with it.
I created the first bottle for restrooms residing just outside of a wedding ceremony I designed featuring a monarch butterfly installation, while the other was created for their reception, inspired by our custom malachite bar. As for the “love” soap bottle, this one was a nod to the stage we created for a super chic urban after-party.
Number Four: Encouraging.
Some delicious smelling hands and a little positive reinforcement are the gifts that keep on giving.
Look at you just spreading happiness from sink to sink.
