“It get’s back to remembering there’s no ‘have tos’ …”
I am excited to share my interview with Andy Kushner on The Wedding Biz. I’ve always marched to the beat of my own drum, questioning the status quo and asking the question many of us forget to ask: why are some things done a certain way, and who says we can’t change them? My background is a variety of positions ranging from acting to set design led me to eventually create Kristin Banta Events. I design events and weddings that celebrate the guests of honor using some unconventional and out-of-the-box ideas to create of a truly customized and couture experience for all in attendance.
In this interview, I share what it means to throw formula out the window, and how creatively satisfying it can be to see events through a whole new perspective. I share insights into how I’ve designed weddings without a single flower, how I tell a client’s story using unique materials and designs, how I’ve found the way to actualize my career in the most fulfilling and creatively charged way imaginable.
